We've officially been in business since 1958, but our heritage goes back even further - to Taneytown, a small country village nestled in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Taneytown was once well-known for its expert wood sculptors and craftsmen. As a daily reminder of this heritage, we display a collection of antique woodworking tools throughout our factory.

We employ only people who are dedicated to the craft of woodworking - people who are willing to execute each step of craftsmanship in a time-honored manner worthy of their trade.

At Taney, we combine the skills of yesterday's wood sculptors with today's needs and technology to produce what we feel are the finest stairways on the market.
